Jeremy Paxman on Goya at the National Gallery

Painting by Francisco Goya entitled 'The Duchess of Alba'

As an official court painter, Goya produced magnificent portraits of three Kings of Spain and powerful European nobility. The National Gallery's exhibition showcases these remarkable portraits which demonstrate Goya's unnerving ability to paint truthful and characterful depictions of the most powerful of sitters.  Goya: The Portraits is on at the National Gallery until 10 January 2016. 50% off with a National Art Pass.
